Dozens of flights from the UK take off and land in Tenerife South's airport every day, although Tuesday and Friday still remain the busiest days for holidaymakers coming and going.
The main airport, in the south (Reina Sofia), is about a 15-minute drive from Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. Taxis are on hand directly outside the arrivals terminal.
Airlines operate routes between the UK and Tenerife, although some only provide a service in the winter months.
