Tenerife has a consistently Spring-like climate throughout the year with average daytime temperatures varying between 15C and 25C. Summer temperatures do occasionally rise to boiling point, with August being generally the hottest month.
Conversely, the mercury can plummet on high ground during January and February, during which time snow can appear on Mount Teide and the surrounding area.
The north of the island tends to be a little cooler but greener - with more chance of cloudy days.
